I am the editor in Chief of "Recent Advances in Paediatrics" a high profile book aimed at Paediatricians which is published every 3 - 4 years

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Paediatric Experience
Training
I have a broad and sound knowledge of Paediatrics with a special interest in Paediatric Epilepsy and High Dependency care.
Allergy
Epilepsy
- I have a special interest in management of children with Epilepsy and have level 2 PET (Paediatric Epilepsy training) competence.
Paediatric High Dependency care
- I am leading the development of a Paediatric High Dependency care Unit at Darent Valley Hospital.
- For this project, I have been selected as an “Innovation Practitioner” by the NHS institute for Innovation.
General Paediatrics & Neonatology
- I have 2 clinics per week where I see new referrals as well as follow ups.
- With reconfiguration in the health care services in South East London; we are expecting an increase in our workload and opportunities. We are in the process of expanding our neonatal unit accordingly.
CLINCAL GOVERNANCE
Audit
- I am the lead for clinical audit at Darent Valley Hospital.
- Audit topics are selected based upon current National Audits and risk issues facing the directorate.
Guideline development
- I have written several evidence-based guidelines to improve practice. I continue to review unit guidelines and perform regular audits. These include guidelines on surfactant usage, neonatal transfer and copying letters to parents.
Innovation
I am an accredited “Innovation Practitioner” from the NHS Institute of Innovation
